My name is Will Cho, Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), professionally trained by the UCLA Fitness Leadership Program. Graduating top of my class at UCLA with over 15 years of experience in both traditional and strength sports, I specialize in muscular growth, strength, body mechanics, mobility, and body recomposition, with secondary teachings in plyometrics and cardiovascular training. I help clients look forward to their workouts, embrace the resistance training community, and build everyday confidence.
Why train with Will? No single program can effectively address the needs of every individual. Programming must be tailored to your current experience level, personal goals, injury history, and psychological health. At the core of my training philosophy lie the salient principles of resistance training: specificity, progressive overload, variation, and fatigue management. Utilizing current scientific literature to inform my decisions (i.e. 875+ citations of self-study), I value empirical evidence over popularity. And while applied research, or at least sound mechanistic theory would be ideal, anecdotal evidence and placebo effects may be relevant if data is difficult to find. But above all, enjoyment and adherence to a program will supersede “optimal” training since the best plan is the one you are willing to do again!
Moreover, I never prescribe anything I wouldn’t do myself. Training is filtered through my notably high standard for adopting new training, recovery, & dietary strategies. And at the end of the day, I am genuinely passionate about exercise, human biomechanics, and improving peoples’ lives, thus, being intrinsically driven towards your success and safety.
